The interview went great. The only reason I gave it a 4 instead of 5 is
because she got up at 3AM, arrived at Wireless Rd. at 4:30, got in the
doors at 7AM but had her interview at 12:30PM, lasting only 5 minutes!
She was THE first in line I believe but they just called names and it
APPEARED to be in random order. Possibly the order had been pre-determined
by the CO group according to which case would be more difficult or had
documentation problems. If they are interviewing people for a couple of
hours I think they would want to tackle the problem issues first and
leave the ones that had already been decided to the end. She was called
DEAD LAST.
The CO was a young woman (USC) who also did tourist visa interviews.
She made her very much at ease and said "your paperwork is perfect."
Questions:
When did you meet your fiancé?
When did your fiancé come to see you last?
When did you (she) divorce ?
She admitted to forgetting the exact date; she knew mine but not hers
and the CO just read from the document and said that forgetting was no problem.
Mine was July 13 09 and hers was a few years ago that that was OK.
How many children do you have?
Did you have sex with ex-husband?
- I won't tell her exact answer to that but it was a good one.
She met some of the other fiancée visa ladies & exchanged cards
but didn't meet them after because she was the last one out of
the building.
When she got home she played scrabble in English and one of her opponents
complained that she wasn't playing fair because she was blocking his moves!
Blocking is totally within the realm of fair play and the best players do it.
I introduced her to the internet scrabble club (ISC.RO) and we play from time to time. It's little known outside of scrabble circles that Thais are world-famous for playing scrabble in English and she gives me a good game whenever we play.
