Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

My husband went to his interview on Nov 9th, 2009 and it went pretty well with the exception of a few things. His case had not arrived there yet on the day of his interview so he had to interview with his copy of all the paperwork. He was only there for about 2 or 3 hours total so that is not too bad. The first thing that happened when he got inside the embassy was that he was given a number and then he paid the DHL fees. After that he sat down for awhile and then he was called again to have his fingerprinting done. When he was done with that he was called to a desk to make copies of his paperwork. This is when he was informed that his original documents still had not arrived from NVC and he was given the option of rescheduling his interview. He decided to go ahead with the interview with the papers he had with him. He said that the interview only last about 20 minutes and that he was asked very general questions. After the interview the officer took his passport and told him that the case is pending the arrival of the papers from the NVC. I will update this section again once he receives his visa.
