Moscow, Russia | Review on October 30, 2009: | David/Olesya
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
It’s been a nightmare so far. Olesya had her interview on 15Oct09, she was told she needed more documents and given a blue paper with a list of document numbers and told good-bye, when asked what she had to do the woman only said “good-bye” After about an hour of her crying she was able to tell me what had happened.
I made my first call ($12) to Moscow that night from America, asked my questions about what other documents were needed, and I was told to call back between 6 – 8 Moscow time. I made my second call (another $12) and was told no other documents were needed and her papers were being processed, and she would receive her DHL within 10 days, if not, call back. I made my third call ($12) about an hour later just to make sure I understood everything, and was told again, no more documentation was needed, and her case was being processed, if she does not receive her package within 10 days, to please call back to the embassy.
Two weeks later I made my forth call and another ($12), told them that it has been two weeks and Olesya has still not received any DHL package, again I was told to call back. The next call and another ($12), I was told again, her case is being processed. I again asked if any more documents were needed and I was told no, her case is being reviewed. I asked if this was normal, and the man said, “sometimes it takes a few days or it could take a few months”. What to do now, but wait. No wonder most people cross the border illegally; it’s far less stressful!!!
Now I will call every week, until I get some answers.
