Review Topic: K1 Visa

The overall experience for the K1 interview at the US embassy in Seoul was pretty darn good. We had a 830am appointment but did not actually arrive at the embassy until about 915am. The visa fee was not paid before the day of the interview so we had to wait until the bank opened at 9am to pay the visa fee. Then we rushed to the embassy that day. After also doing the passport delivery form, we went up to the third floor. Took a number and looked around. The american lady in the 308 window directed us to the 305 window where we submitted all of the information. Was asked why we were late and so we explained about the visa fee. She looked through our information and verified a few minir things. I was there too and for some reason I was asked to sign again the I-134 form. Then my fiancee did the fingerprinting right away. We went through basically everything all at once. Then we sat down and waitied. After almost everyone else before us went through the interview, we were finally called out. She was sworn in by the american lady and was asked a few questions. I even answered a few for my fiancee. The questions were like 'where did you meet?' 'when are you going to the?' 'did you meet each other family?'. Was some basic questions and nothing big. She said then that she would approve the visa and it would be sent out in about 5 business days. After that we were done and we left.

So even after being late, everything went very smoothly.
