This embassy normally requires 2 interviews. At the first one my husband was told that we needed a Joint Sponsor. This is because, even though I make enough money now, I didn't make very much money last year. They asked for the documents on June 29th and wanted the originals one week later on July 6th. My grandma sent them the very next morning, but they had to come from Alaska and so they didn't arrive on time. At the second interview, he did bring a scanned copy of my grandma's I-864 and taxes, but they told him that we needed to have a third interview and that I needed to come. They didn't tell us that we needed to bring proof of our relationship, but it was the first thing they asked for in the third interview. He was in there for about an hour and a half. Then I was in there for about an hour. Then they called him in again. They asked A LOT of questions. Some were pretty difficult. Things like: where did you go on your first date? Who went with you? Why did you choose to go there? Did you meet there or somewhere else? What was your husband doing before you met there? How late did you stay? They asked the names of my cats, how many tattoos I have, if we own anything together like land (and where it is and what we plan on doing with it), etc. The main person doing the interview was pretty nice, but a second man kept coming in and out and was almost rude. I was grilled on things like why we got married so quickly and if I had just married him to help give him a better life. My husband was asked if he was lying about us having a real relationship. We didn't get everything 100% correct. He thought I had 4 tattoos when I really have 7, but it still worked out. After he was in there the second time, they told us to wait and that we would be called to a window. We had no idea whether he was approved or not..... but, thankfully, he was. We paid for them to courier the documents and they arrived just two days later.
