We arrived one hour early for the CR1 interview. We were very politely informed by the security staff that we would not be permitted to enter the embassy more than 30 minutes prior to the appointment time. They permitted us to wait outside the door. As we were the first ones there waiting, we were permitted by the staff to be the first ones to enter when it was time. We were quickly screened through security and permitted to enter the consulate. We waited there and shortly after our appointment time we were called to the window to submit our documents. The first official asked my husband a few questions about our petition and reviewed our documents. We waited about 15 minutes more and my husband was called to the window for the interviw. The official permitted me to step forward and to answer questions also.

The interviewer was very polite, made some small talk, and efficiently completed the process. Overall, all of the Chilean and US staff were welcoming and polite. We were extremely pleased with the efficiency of the process. We left the embassy about 90 minutes after our scheduled interview time.
