(A little background) My fiance has been trying to get his No Imped for the past month and has been getting jerked around. We decide to go to the RGD in Kingston before the interview. I walk in and get # 73 when they were only on #15. Thankfully a nice wroker was able to go in the back and print out my fiance's No Imped. This still took about 45 minutes though. So we end up getting to the embassy about an hour late. I was so worried we'd be turned away. I go up to the lady in the yellow shirt and she says it's Ok and ask for our 156, 156k, 157, payment receipt, and the pictures. She asks for both of our I.D's. I explain I left my purse in the car, but I have a copy of my passport with my picture and name. She looks at that and then tells us to go wait in line. There were only about 4 people in front of us waiting to go through security, so we go through quickly and then go to the court yard. There are a lot of people all under the covered part. I tell my fiance to wait while I go ask someone if we are in the right place. Thankfully that was the visitor visa people and we were allowed to go right inside. We check in with the guy at he desk, get our number stub and the yellow paper to write my fiance's passport number on. We go in and there are only about 10 people waiting in our section. We are taking it all in and joking about talking on that phone and why do you have to raise your right hand to sware in, like that makes a difference? Anyways we figure we are the last ones in so we will probably be the last called. Well it gets to be just us and another lady. That lady goes up and we are collecting our paperwork, sure we will be called any second. Nope, nothing. Luckily the lady that had just went noticed they were preparing to go to lunch and tells us that we better go up there and see if they know about us. I go up and ask the lady and she says "no we are done for today". My heart sinks. I show her out ticket stub with the number on it and she asks for my fiance's name. Then she looks in the computer and then goes in the back. She comes back and says that no one told them that they had brought in another file. I guess since we were late they had already collected everyone's file and not checked back to see if there were anymore. She tells me to sit down and someone will be with us shortly. A few minutes later a woman calls us up and she is VERY rude. Then says give me all your paper work. I give her the no imped, medical, police report, I-134 ect. She asks my fiance to open the medical and no -imped, very rudely and like he is already taking too long and she hasn't even passed them back through the window. While he is doing that I ask if she wants my tax return, bank letter, ect and she raises her voices and says " I SAID everything". I just start giving her handfuls of papers. Not sure if she needed it all, but I'm like I can't ask again. She said everything so fine here's everything. I'm thinking to myself does she want my photo album and proof of relations suff, but I'm afraid to ask anything and thought from reading other people's experiences that happens later. So I decide to just let her ask if she needs anything else. She then tells us to go down to get finger printed and then come back and wait. My fiance and I start to really worry that we are going to get her again and that she is going to ask us a million questions and give us a real hard time. My fiance gets finger printed and that guy was nice. We go back and thank the lord a few minutes later another girl calls us up. She turned out to be really nice. She was a young Jamaican girl. She has us raise our right hands and swear all the information is correct and true and then asks for our passports. I panick again because I didn't think to bring mine. I tell her I have a copy from when I sent in my I-129 and does she want to see that? She says "no it's O.K". Then she hands by fiance two pieces of paper and ask him to write my name on one of the lines and for him to sign the other. While he's doing that I notice her reading the original letter I sent in with the I-129, explaining how we met. My fiance gives the papers back to her and she asks how many times have I been to JA since we met. We both look at each other and say 12. We had gone over everything the night before and that's how we both knew 12. Then I begin to worry that it's going to look like we are too rehearsed so I say "do you want me to count out the months that I visited?" She "No it's OK". Then she says "what year did you two meet?" We both say 2007 at the same time. Then she says "go to window 26 and pay for your visa congratulations and make sure you get married within 90 days of arriving in the U.S.". I was kind of stunned since it happend so fast. We were only at her window for 5 minutes at the most. I expected much more questions. We go over to widnow 26 and only my fiance can wait in line so I go and wait over in the shade. He pays it and we're DONE!!
* Lessons learned don't be late, but if you are don't panick. We were an hour late and they still took us.*
