The interview for my husbands K-1 visa in Madrid went fine I guess. I was with him. We were a little disappointed that they didn't ask more questions. They seemed mostly interested in if they thought we had enough money.
Our biggest complaint about the Embassy in Madrid is that it is virtually impossible to contact them for information or help. My husbands name was spelled wrong in the California processing office so when the information was sent to Madrid we tried calling many many times to the number for visa information... no one ever answered the phone. We sent a fax clearly explaining the error... no one ever got back to us. Finally I contacted the Consulate in Barcelona and they took care of it for us. Then we were waiting and waiting for the interview letter to come with the date and it never did. We contacted the consulate in Barcelona again and they told us we missed it, that the letter had been sent a month before. We are very sure that it was never sent. Luckily the consulate was very helpful and they scheduled my husbands K-1 interview for us.
