Moscow, Russia | Review on March 27, 2009: | neva
Rating: | Review Topic: K1 Visa
The interview went very smoothly, although she said everyone who worked there was rude, both the Americans and the Russian workers. She said she could hear them making jokes about the Russian women scamming American men. Otherwise the interview went fine. They took her documentation and looked it over, then asked her questions: how did we meet, describe me (the USC), what will be her address in the states, and have I been to Russia. They also asked her to talk about her photographs and for the names of my parents. Then they told her the visa would be sent to her in 3-4 days.
NOTE: Because she translated her own documents, they did not allow her to have the interview in Russian. She had to speak English. It was fine in this case, because she speaks good English, but she said she wishes she could have spoken Russian because she was so nervous. So if your fiance(e) would rather have the interview in Russian, make sure the documents are translated by somebody else. Otherwise they will require her/him to speak English for the interview.
I would give the rating 4/5, but because the staff were so rude and were making crude jokes, it made the experience for her even less pleasant.
