I could not figure out how to edit my last entry so i am doing a new one because i wanted to include more information.
My husband' interview was scheduled for 7:30AM. He was finished by 1:00PM. He was asked 4 questions. SEe previous entry for questions. In the end, they requested a DNA test to prove that our daughter is his. They did not bother to look at all the evidence i organized. They also requested an updated copy of my birth certificate. After he was told we had to do a DNA test, i called the embassy and spoke to someone there, she was not very nice but informative. She told me where to find the information on DNA testing. It was located on the website. I used Genelex and it was expensive but fast. The kit was sent to Doctor' Daniels office from the US the next day and it was recieved that friday and my husband had to go to the embassy so an official could witness them taking his sample the following Tuesday. The whole DNA process took about 3 weeks but most of it was the traveling time. They recieved the results on a Thursday Afternoon and on Friday i called to confirm that they recieved it and the same lady i spoke to after the interview told me she could not confirm it. The following Tuesday i emailed them and state that according to Fedex, resutls were delivered on and listed the date and time. The responded by emailing me a letter that my husband should appear any Wednesday at 7:30AM. He appeared two Wednesday's later becasue first it was a holiday the following Wednesday and they did not mail the letter to him, he had to print it from his email. When he went that Wednesday, no questions were asked of him, they told him to leave his passport and pick it up that Friday at 2:00PM. He went on that Friday and in 20 minutes he had his visa stamped in his passport and all original documents were returned. I would say with this embassy, give them what they ask for but be careful. They were not as scary as other people have said but they are very picky with everything. It is best to email them if you have any questions because they respond very quickly to the emial. Calling them will only lead to them being rude and you are not going to like it. Also, all documents must be no more than 2 years old. This is extremely important as they will not accept documents that are more than 2 years old. Show up early because there will be lots of people there.

The medical was done at Doctor Daniel's office. They were very nice and it costs 40 thousand Guyanese dollars. It wasn't difficult at all and they were very accomodating with the sample collection.

For the embassy, be confident in your answers and do not let them intimidate you. Once you know your relationship is real, you be confident.
