Hey Everyone
My interview went GREAT, I arrived at the US Embassy in Cairo at 6:30 am, there were around 30 other people waiting in front of the embassy,15 minutes later some guy got out and asked us to form 2 lines, one for the Immigration Visas and another for normal Visas ( like visits, study, tourism etc…) so we did that and luckily the Immigration people weren't many that day, I was number 2 in the line. At 7:00 am they let us in and gave us numbers and told us to wait in the Visa section hall. the Visa officers started working and calling numbers at 7:30 sharp, around 7:40 they called my number, the officer was an Egyptian lady, she was nice but didn't smile a lot, anyways she checked my documents, took my medical report and reviewed everything, gave me back some stuff from my BIG case folder she had ( like pictures, Cards and phone bills that my husband had submitted along the process) then told me to go pay for the DHL ( it was 67 Egyptian Pounds) and wait... around 8:30 they called my number again to a different window, it was an extremely nice American lady, she took my finger prints and told me to go sit down again. Around 9:00 the same lady called my number again and asked me a couple of questions (How did I meet my husband? When did we decide to get married? What is so special about him? Had he meet my family? Did I meet his? Then asked me about my husband's kids and if I met them. And how old are they? Also how is my husband's relationship with my family? stuff like that) she didn't ask me for pictures or any proof of ongoing relationship (although I had a huge bag of stuff with me lol) the interview took less than 8 minutes, she was typing stuff on her computer all the time we were talking... after that she told me everything looks great, then gave me back my original marriage certificate and Birth certificate and said congratulations you'll get your passport stamped with the visa within 2 weeks I asked her about the mysterious Brown Envelop , she laughed and said it'll be sent with the passport and told me not to open it, the officer at the Port of Entry will do that. And she said nothing mysterious about it it's mainly the things you sent us all along your Visa process.
So, my experience at the US Embassy in Cairo was AMAZING. I was out of the embassy at 9:45
Good luck to all of you.
