They sent the outdated version of DS-156K so make sure you get the new one online!

He got there at about 12:30. Was seen about 2:00. There were about 4 people in line. They told him because his birth cert last name was spelled different from his passport he'd have to go somewhere and get an insert in his passport but they weren't very clear at all about what he needed to do, and that's still not sorted. He had to take the train all the way home and he'll have to make phone calls to figure out what to do and then go back. So they checked that he had all his documents, then he paid the cashier, then did his fingerprints, then interviewed. He was approved but he has to get his birth cert issue settled.

As far as the actual interview -
All they were interested in were the financial support documents. He asked basic questions, what's your fiancee's name, where does she work, where is she from, when did you visit, what was your longest stay in the US, how did you meet, he didn't even look at our photos or boarding passes or any of that.
