My interview was at 9.00 am wednesday the 18th in London.
I arrived about 8.40 am and it took about 10 minutes for me to get inside the embassy after showing a security guy my appointment letter and my passport. I then went through security checks and into the embassy (NOTE: when you arrive take a plastic bag from the guy standing near the line and put all money, keys and belts etc. in there). I got to the desk and was given a ticket with 5009 on it, and told to sit down. I would describe it as like a mix between a post office and an airport. Much bigger than i thought. It took about an hour for my number to be called and then i went to counter 12. The guy took my passport photos, passport, birth and police certs. Then he took my affidavit of support. It turns out they couldn't find my Pkt 3 so the guy had me fill it out again by hand in front of him, but he was very nice and patient about it and said it was their fault and so he bumped me to the top of the list of people to be interviewed and approved. He gave me my X-ray and sent me back to wait to be called. I was only sat for 5 minutes before being called back, this time to counter 16. I was met by a very friendly American lady who had me swear all the information i gave was true and had me sign the DS-156. She then asked these questions -
*when we met?
*when we became a couple?
*when i visited?
*when she visited?
*does my fiance work?
*where will i live?
*will i be working?
*how much do i have in savings?
She then explained everything that will happen and what i should do next. She then congratulated me and said good luck. She then sent me off to pay the courier. (£14.20 btw). I paid and left within 2 and a half hours.
They didn't require any of the photos or proof of relationship but my advice would be to still take it just incase.
Excellent service
