My fiance's interview was going ok, until my fiance realized he forgot one crucial component - our photos! The interview seemed to go well, but when asked "Did you bring any photos of you and your fiance?" He said no and they didn't say anything. He had other evidences - copies of emails and chats, phone records, copies of my ticket stubs from my trips to see him, email correspondences regarding wedding plans, etc. He had the asian interviewer and he said she was very nice and friendly and asked several questions, such as "How did you meet your fiance?" "What does she do and where does she work?" "How many times has she come here, when were her trips and where did you go when she came here?" "What kind of things does she like". She also asked if he had any friends here. And she asked when we were planning on getting married. She asked what he loved about me. And also if we planned on having children (and he told her the names we have picked out).

Then she gave him a 221 (g) and told him that she wanted to review the evidence and she would call him. I freaked (naturally), but then from reading here on VJ, I saw that she tends to like to take the time to review the evidences. I received an email from them then next day telling me to let him know he will have a second interview 2 weeks later. It made me nervous, but we prepared for it with more evidence, including the photo album he forgot the first time! When he went back for the second interview, it wasn't really an interview at all. He was there 5 minutes, she just wanted to tell him he was approved and she kept his passport and told him to tell me I would have a good Christmas and would call him in a few days to pick up his visa They didn't even look at the photos which he had forgotten the first time! He did get another 221 (g) that said they would call him. And they did - only 12 days later! I'm sure if it weren't the holidays they would have called him sooner but they were closed for a few days.
