I arrived at the embassy at about 8.10am for my 9am appointment, the line to go through security was pretty long but I got inside by about 8.40. I waited until 10.30 to get called up to the first window. That was all over pretty quickly, I gave her my documents, paid my fee and then sat down and waited for my number to be called again. At about 11.30 my number got called up, I was asked how we met, he asked to see my ring, asked about how my partner proposed to me, where he works and how long he had worked there and that was it! He didn't want to see anything else despite my carrying lots of heavy stuff with me.  In the end it was very painless.
