I had my medical and interview in Frankfurt today. The medical appointment was at 7.30 and fairly easy. I arrived at the Consulate around 9.20 (appointment at 9.30). I went to the Non-Immigrant Visa line, obtained a ticket and got in line for the security checks and entrance. At the window I was asked if I brought any electronic devices (I didn't). The security check was airport like. Then I was sent to the main building on the left. When I walked in, I showed my ticket to a lady behind a desk and she sent me to the far corner of the room. I sat down and waited for my number to be called. After only a few minutes of waiting I was called to window 23. I showed my passport, gave her another passport pic and the visa deposit confirmation. The lady gave me an envelope to be self addressed and an instruction paper on how to organize my papers for the next window. I sat back down, put the 4,25 Euro stamps on the envelope and my address on it and sorted my birth certificate, police certificate and the affidavit plus supporting documents. After 10 minutes of waiting I was called to window 19 where a very nice young lady made me sign the pack 3 documents, we went through my biographic data, then I gave her my birth certificate, police certificate and the affidavit. She said it everything looks good and explained me the further process. Then she told me to sit down and wait to be called to another window to talk to a consul. Another 15 minutes of waiting and I was called by the consul. She was very nice and open and just asked a few questions. "Where did you meet?", "Where does he work" "When are you planning to arrive in the US?" and why I didn't go earlier for Christmas. She even joked with me. Then she told me the medical results will be there by Friday, latest Monday and then the visa will be issued and sent to me, wished good luck and merry christmas and I was done and out after 75 minutes.
