okay sorry took so long to put this up here
okay went for interview on friday the 13th (yay)got to the consulate at about 7:30 there is a train station right out side very convenient
sat around till about 7:45 with the now growing crowd waiting for the lifts to start working for us to go up to level 10
went up and was about 5th in the line no problems show appointment letter and passport as id then wait to get in next elevator up to 59 security drink water walk through metal detector all sorted then in and take ticket am 5th in door but no 001 for immigrant visa since (you take the immigrant visa ticket for k visa's even though they are non immigrant technically) time on ticket 8:05 sit around for about 15 minutes called to window 2 it is the young girl she is pretty friendly asks if i got any suspicions about the date make comment about not stepping on the cracks in the pavement on the way there hand over pile of documents the are in the order requested in the pkt 4 she goes through them just changes around the order of the evidence for the i 134 ( had letters from employer payslips and some bank statement stuff)
says it all looks fine and she will call me again when she has gone through it all more carefully i sit down called up not more than about 5 minutes later says all looks fine and ill be called for final interview with CO at window 4 mention to her about trying to get visa earlier in day since you can only fetch them at 3:30 she says ask CO so i sit down 10 minutes later called to window 4 i have pile of evidence ready (took the stuff from the petition too just incase ) it is a young guy pretty friendly not overly though gets me to sign forms then asks how we met i tell him a quick overview of how we met spending the summer together since she is a teacher and had it off and i was on holiday so spent a lot of time together he nods going through paperwork the whole time asks have we kept in contact since them i say only about 2 hours a day on the telephone and she came to visit me and meet some of my family over thanksgiving break he smiles , then asks what she does and answers himself ah yeah she's a teacher whats she teach so i tell him and that was about it asks if i know what the draft form is about (if your a guy between 18-26 you have to put your name down for the draft although the not likely to have one again) so i sign that and we're done says i can fetch it or .. i say im fetching it ask if possible to fetch it an hour early since i had already booked a flight for tuesday not realising the consulate would be closed monday for martin luther king day he says no cause i have a british passport it will definately take 24 hours to do security check so i had to change my ticket like 300 bucks later but it was okay since the ticket was really cheapp anyway (oh yeah they also took my fingerprint cant remember if it was just the left index or both )so i left and everything thing was fine going down in the elevator asked the other people in there the time and it was only 9 o'clock so
less than an hour it really does pay to have everything organised although ours is a fairly simple case anyway so ... im here in the states already took 3 minutes to go through immigration (meant to ask for work stamp but forgot felt so dumb about that)
thanks to everyone on this site for all there help so far and now onto AOS yay
