Well here is my interview experience. I went down to London on the Monday evening and stayed at a friends place. Tuesday got to the US Embassy around 9.15am, someone checked my appointment letter (note, those with appointments more than an hour later have to wait in a second queue until time). Then I was off through the x-ray machine and a long walk around the buildings perimeter. My ticket was number 16 and about 20 minutes later I saw the lovely Chinese woman at desk 1. She took my paperwork, saw that my fiancée earned above the poverty level, asked when I intend to fly and then said no problems here so go sit down and wait for the interview.

Another 20 minutes and I was called to a lady at desk 15. First she took my finger prints, then I swore to her (‘I do’), she looked at the medical and asked how I met my fiancée (said 'how lovley to my responce') and if I'd met her partents, and viola; she said ‘you're done here’. I said ‘what that's it’? She said ‘yes go and pay for the SMS courier service’. (I wanted the welcome to America but I guess not). Less than two hours and I was on my way with a huge grin on my face.

My visa arrived the next morning, less then 24 hours later. That’s good delivery service for £9.50. The next day I handed in my notice and plan to leave near the beginning of March. Thanks to everyone that has given advice, the folks from the London Embassy Forum have been great.
