I arrived in the pi$$ing rain at 830am, interview was at 900am so I was there in plenty time. The queue wasn't too bas so no complaints there. The security staff gave me a plastic bag to put in any coins, wallet etc in. I passed through the gates and was given the number 5007.
I went up some steps on the left and sat on my butt looking around at other people( I know i'm sad haha) After about 40 mins my number was called and went to a box with a pleasent looking woman behind the screen. She took my documents and finger prints then handed me a slip to pay the visa fee. I came back showing that I paid and was told to sit down and wait for to be called for my interview.
After another 20 or so mins I was called again for the interview, I took a big deep breath and off I went. I was met with a very cheerfull female immigration officer. She gave me back my documents. I was asked a few simple questions eg-
Where did you meet your fiance?
What is her occupation?
Has she met your kids?
What did they think of her?
Will your kids be travelling to the wedding
And that was it, she said I was approved and gave me a slip to pay for the visa to be delivered. I coundn't believe how quick and easy it was. She never asked for any other proof that I had with me. Off I went out the door, went to Leicester Square and have a good few beers then to Harrods to buy a Cuban cigar.
