OK Finally after all these months of wait, last month we got an appointment letter for an interview at the Dallas office 8:30AM.
We left around 7:45AM(dont live too far from there thank God) and made it there 3min before our interview.
Went through security was pointed to door nr2 and was told to sit down and wait.At that point I was like F*** eveything im ready to go to sleep now since I dont sleep at all night before.
After 10 min our name was called, and this young guy with very pleasant face walked us in.
First thing he asked us for was our IDs (pass and licence for me & drivers licence from Mark). After that he double checked my info on the file he had with him(name,DOB,country of birth, etc) and started asking thos"have u ever...?' questions- I just said"No-to all of them"
Then he asked how we met I told him short version but he seemed satisfied. He mentioned then that he was on Adriatic sea during the war in Croatia cause he was in the Navy then, and that he was told that all guys in Croatia are tall and play basketball..which was cool to him cause he is tall too...lol Anyways..PLP THATS A MYTH!! lol
He asked for our tax returns and a handed him all we had lol and he just picked the 2005 one.
Then he asked Mark where he works now and he told him he just got this tx history teacher job on the aug 14,2006 and he said he will need an employer letter from him but if he doesnt have it here with him today he can just mail it in and he gave him an address where to mail it.
Then he talked some more to Mark about school system and how his mom is working as teacher and stuff.More chit chat.
Anyway, then he said something about green card is valid for 2 years and how we need to aplly for Permanent Green Card before 2 yrs are up,and that after he gets my other A-file(from somewhere?guessing other Dallas office &K1 folder) and receives employer letter from Mark - that everything else seems fine to him and looked in the file again and said that my security clearance came back with nothing on me.Then I asked "But we still dont know if we are approved or not or? He replied that he never tells people if they are approved or not but that 90% of his cases are approved .
All together interview took like 15 minutes.Didnt ask too many questions, didnt ask for any photos,or anything else beside taxes and that employer letter.
My medical was way more than a year ago now plus i never did an additional 2 shots for something(forgot what it was now lol).
No stamp in the passport, didnt take my EAD so I am a little confused now even though everything seemed perfectly fine.
Mark says I worry too much but I just cant help it.
