Guys my fiancee had her interview for K1 visa today. Just wanted to share her experience with you. I am not gonna go into the details of waiting in line
for the ticket at convention center and yada yada (i guess by now everyone knows that whole ordeal).. However it is good to know that ppl applying for K1 visa are suppose to stand in the "immigrant visa" line even though it is considered a "non immigrant visa".
She said the actual interview portion of the process literally took 5 mins. They did not even bother to check her proof of engagement (which she had plenty..). She said the CO only asked her the following questions:
1) What does your "husband" do? (to which she right away replied that i am her fiancee and not her husband yet.. not sure if it was unintentional or if they were trying to trick her)
2) Are you two relatives?
3) Why do you want to marry him?
4) Are you gonna work once you are in US?
After that she said the CO congratualated her and told her that her case was straightforward and clear. He told her that she'll hear from the courier service within 10 days with her passport and visa. And that was it. Good luck every one!!
