We arrived early for the interview, about 6 am. The interview time was 7:15 am, and we wanted to get a good spot in line. There were already about 5-7 people there. Once the embassy opened, they had a guard that escorted us to line up in front of the embassy. Elders and families were pushed towards the front of the line.
After receiving our documents (marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate) they allowed my wife to enter. I waited at a cafe about a half-mile down the road. After about 45 minutes later, she called me and told me she passed the interview. These are the questions they asked:
1.) How did you meet?
2.) When did you meet?
3.) Has he ever visited you (when was the last time)?
4.) How many times has he visited you?
They didn't ask her for any of the additional documents we had (financial, text messages, emails, photos, etc.). We practiced all of the possible questions they could ask multiple times every day leading up to the interview. Besides being well prepared, we were very thorough during the petition phase with all of the supporting documents, affidavits of support, pictures, summary of our story, etc.
Overall she said the staff was very nice and everything went smoothly.
Godspeed for all during this process! It's very taxing emotionally and physically, but there is light at the end of the tunnel!
