My appointment was at 8:45 on September 12th, 2024. The traffic in Montréal is quite bad so I would recommend leaving about an hour and a half before your appointment. I got to the building around 8:20, there was people waiting outside for their appointment. There was one girl who also had the same appointment time as me but most other people were waiting for a 9:00+ appointment. A officer will come outside asking for you appointment time, about 15 minutes before your appointment she'll come back out and take the next needed group.

When you first walk in they ask for your passport and name. They have a long list of names and they'll cross yours off. The first floor is quite small but completely resembles a TSA area. You'll be asked to put everything you brought into a plastic container and that will go through an Xray machine. You'll then take your phone and put it into a small locker that that have available. It's only large enough to fit a phone and maybe small wallet. You'll be provided with a key. They will also give you 2 small pieces of paper asking you once you sit down to get the listed documents ready, the other piece will have your number that you'll be called by.

You'll then take a elevator to the next floor. This floor is where your interview will take place. Once you reach that floor you'll take a seat and start finding the needed documents that were listed on the laminated paper. If I remember correctly all that was asked from me was
•passport + copy
•birth certificate + copy
•I-134
•2023 tax transcript
•appointment confirmation
•2 passportphotos
•police clearance.

I waited close to 45 minutes before my number flased on the screen and told me what booth to go to. The lady there was very sweet, there is absolutely no rush when they ask you for a form and she encouraged me to take my time. After giving her all the needed documents and being asked some basic questions regarding where I will be moving to in the US is was asked to place my fingers on a scanner to have my finger prints taken. She then told me to take a seat again and wait for my number to be called.

I waited around 50 minutes before my number popped back up on the screen. I was told to go to booth 3 where I would have the verbal interview. The man I had interviewing me was very friendly and easy to talk to. He glanced over my original i129f and began to ask me some simple questions. Before asking questions I was asked to raise my right hand and swear under oath everything I proceed to say will be true. The questions I remember being asked were
•what is your fiancé's name
•what does your fiancé do for work
•who is your joint sponsor and how do you know him
•do you have any kids outside the relationship
•does he have any kids outside the relationship
•do you have any kids inside the relationship
•how did you meet
•how often do you see eachother
•where are you planning on living

After that he said he was happy to approve my visa! I stressed out so much for this interview and there was absolutely no need to!
