A little confusing when I got there since they made me stay in the nonimmigrant-visa line at first. But then they made an announcement for the immigrant-visas and I could then change line. My appointment was at 08:40 but I was there at 07:45. The announcement was at 08:00 when the embassy opened.
Walked through security, into the embassy and was told to go directly to window 7. There they asked for passport, passport style photos, waybill, my brith certificate, marriage certificate and police certificate. Then I had to go sit down and wait. It was possible to bring your phone and you could use it in the waiting area which was nice (especially when you're not from Stockholm and have to find your way there. I stayed at hotel Villa Källhagen which was perfect because it was just down the street from the embassy).
After a little bit they called my name and told me to go to window 3. There the embassy worker told me to hold my right hand up and swear to tell the truth, then he took my fingerprints. He then asked me some questions (they are listed below) and said that it was all approved and that I would get my passport back in a couple of weeks.
Questions asked:
- If we have any kids (together or from before)
- If either of us have been married before
- When and where we met?
- How long we were a couple before we got married
- When we got married
- Why we got married the way we did (we got married online trough the state of Utah)
- Where my husband lives and what he does for a living
- If I ever have had any problems with the police
- What I plan on doing when I get there
The whole process from when I walked in to when I walked out was under an hour. Over all a good experience.
The interview was January 31st and I got my passport back February 5th.
