It was very difficult to find information in preparation for my interview in Montreal. I wasn't aware that I couldn't take a backpack in, and I had my computer with me and had to run back to my hotel to return it before my interview. During the interview, everything was a good experience and the people I met with were kind and communicated well. However, my police certificate didn't say 'other' on it, so they told me to take my passport home and then send it back with a new certificate. They said it would take 1 week to process the new certificate after I sent it to them. There was no information given on where to send the document, so I assumed I should send it to the consulate address. It was returned to me and I had to search online to find the correct address. It's been 7 weeks now since they've received my new certificate and passport, and I have no indication when I'll receive my approval documents and passport. I've attempted to email them but have not heard replies. My main complaint is that there is no way to ask questions, which leads to many issues and frustrations.
