Had interview booked for 1030, the entrance is super easy to find, went up to the stall that was outside at around 10am after sitting in Starbucks beforehand which is a short walk from the embassy.
The outside of the embassy was pretty empty, I'm not sure if that's the norm or not. At the stall outside I was asked for Passport and DS160 and then told to continue into security.
Going through security is easier than an airport just make sure you adhere to their guidelines on what you can and can't bring. I only had a bag with documents and normal, phone, keys, headphones wallet.
Once past security it was just a walk following the signs, still no queue, up to the desk where I got given a number and told to go to the first floor and go left then left. The ticket on my DS160 had the number and which window to sit by, this was away from the large amount of people on the same floor, and there was only a handful of people.
First window was simple, fingerprints done, handed the documents that they wanted, DS160, passport, passport photos, police certificate, birth certificate, i134 +docs, fiancée's divorce documents. I didn't need an additional letter of intent as the NOA2 was still in date.
I was then told to sit and wait to be called for the interview, after a short wait I went to another window 2 windows along from the first one.
Here I was asked to confirm i was telling the truth, do fingerprints, confirm my name and DOB and my fiancée's name, also to confirm that this was my first marriage and my fiancée's second.
I was then asked questions:
Where does your fiancée live?
How did you first meet and when?
When did you first meet in person?
Number of meetings since/last visit?
How many children my fiancée has and had I met them?
I was told it was approved and it would be processed in 1-2 weeks and the courier would then contact about delivery/collection. (this is the normal quoted timeframe, it seems to be shorter in most cases)
Was handed back the police certificate, birth certificate and divorce decree.
Staff were super polite and friendly throughout and the process was a lot simpler and less worrying that it seems.
