My wife and daughter went in for an 8:30 AM appointment. I walked them to the door of the embassy and off they went.
Everyone was really polite and friendly. Obviously, my girls were nervous, especially when their consul officer gave my wife a white sheet of paper to read, which I told her just a day ago stood for denial. But this really turned out to be just a warning for battered persons or if you're in an abusive relationship. Let's just say she was real happy.
The questions were very simple and to the point. Since we've been married for 10+ years and got 2 children together.
They just asked my name, where I worked and that's about it.
They were done in a little under 3 hours from start to finish.
The only thing my wife asked me to mention is that this embassy absolutely requires your tax transcripts and not just tax copies. Two people with IR1s got sent home to get these right before my wife and daughter were called up.
