I received my first NOA2 in a normal and timely manner. Then, I waited two months during which time the NVC did not receive my application. I contacted the USCIS and the NVC regularly, but my application did not arrive at the NVC and the USCIS did not know the whereabouts of my approved application. I was told, by a USCIS rep to wait 30 days before asking that a 'locate' alert be placed on my approved application in their computer system. Finally, after 60 days, a very knowledgeable and courteous rep said that he should place an 'request' in the system to locate my application. Consequently, the USCIS found my application, assigned a new validity date to it, and I am told it will be forwarded to the NVC.
