We went through the NVC. Original appointment was in March, however, as I could not attend, I set up a new one using the embassy website and was told to ignore the first interview scheduled by the NVC.

The interview was set for 12:45. I arrived at 11:45 and there was no one there and was told to come back at 12:15 (In hindsight, I should have just waited there). By 12:15 the line was already around 20 people long. When you go inside, they take your phone so be sure to bring a book or something. Went to the second floor where i was ushered to wait for the first window. After a 1 hour wait standing in line, I got there and they wanted all the documents that I had submitted to NVC, including a copy of the I864 and supporting docs. Then I waited for another window, where they took my fingerprints.

Finally, I got called up to the last window for the interview. I listened to a few interviews before mine where the applicant had to deal with quite a few questions about their plans, however, for me, it was very quick - only 2 or 3 questions. How long have you been married? around 4 years. Where is your wife right now? starbucks. What job does your joint sponsor have? I said I wasn't sure, some kind of office job. Then she said she can't confirm yet if the visa has been approved yet becuase the system is slow but it all looks good and I should get my visa next week. It arrived today (6 days later). It also only updated on CEAC to issued today.
