Headed to the Tukwila office for the fourth and last time (Biometrics for AOS, AOS interview, Biometrics for ROC, N-400 interview). Since I was last there the parking system changed, you can now pay by credit card in the machine, or entirely by smartphone.
Security check was even quicker than usual, no line at all and after checking in at the downstairs triage desk I was upstairs in 5 minutes. These days with many officers wearing masks it is even harder than before to hear announcements, especially since the interviewing officers come out of different doors, your best bet is to sit in the middle to be able to hear announcements from both sides.
There were plenty of people waiting and it took about 40 minutes past my appointed time before I got called in. The interview was straightforward, I had made a few international trips since filing my N-400, but the officer quickly amended those to my application. In all the interview took about 10 minutes. I got a slip stating I had passed the interview and got the choice of doing the oath ceremony the same day - a total no-brainer since I didn't fancy an extra trip through Seattle traffic at a later date. Unfortunately I just missed one ceremony and had to wait about 90 minutes for the next which was the last of the day staring at 3:45 pm. Once it started it was done in about 15 minutes, there were around 30 of us.
Overall smooth, and I always had a good experience with the officers I talked to through the years.
