I had my K1 interview in September. The queuing system was a shambles, I arrived around 9.30 for my 10.00 appointment and there were already hundreds of people waiting outside. Nobody seemed to know which of the two parallel queues they should join. When I asked a member of the embassy staff I was mistakenly directed to another queue, which turned out to be for US Citizens, so I was sent away to rejoin the back of the ever-growing original queue. Luckily, once I reached the check-in desk, I was allowed to skip ahead as a family visa applicant. Once inside, the rest of the process was easy. The officer at the first window took my documents, then after waiting for around 30 minutes I was called up for the interview itself, which only took a few minutes. Everyone was polite and friendly. The procedure for entering the building was the only stressful and confusing part of the experience!
