Arrived 30 mins before my appointment. Quite a large queue outside at the first security checkpoint. But it moved really quick.

Then pass airport style security then into the reception where there was a slight delay. They only let those that were there for a 10am interview/meeting up despite it being 10:15ish (my appointment was 10:30am).

Note: you will see a lot of ds-160 signs, don’t worry our ds -260 actually jumps us to the front of the queue. If like me you thought you had to wait till they began letting up the 10:30s then you’ll end up being late 😁.

I got to the front of the queue at reception and noted I had a ds-260 not a ds-160. The. Dry friendly lady noted I should t have waited lol. So if you have a ds-260, just politely walk to the front and let the reception know it’s a green card interview you’re there for.

I was sent to the lifts to the first floor. Turned left and left again and was pretty much called up to the first interview straight away. That took 5 mins with a question about first and only marriage and when we got married flooded by finger print check and told to sit down and wait to be called up again to a different window, again the embassy employee was very friendly.

After about 10 minutes (enough time to read the A4 paper regarding our domestic violence rights) I got called to the second window where it was actually more of a conversation as opposed to a straight question and answer interview. The again friendly employee would generally pick up on my answer and did a bit deeper. Quite a simple process actually. that took about 5 mins as well. She said I was approved and my passport and visa packet will be sent to me in a week 😌.

All in apart from the delay in the lobby I was actually upstairs for only about 30 minutes.

Excellent experience and excellent staff members.

All the leg work is in the paperwork you submit beforehand. If that’s up to scratch then the interview is the easiest part.
