We arrived early, there was a short line even before 7am.
My appointment was at 8am. We got in line around 7.35am. (my husband waited in line with me, but I went in by myself as planned)
It took around 45 minutes until I could enter the security check. Since I did not have any electronics I was in the main building within a few minutes.
Walked up to window 22.. there was only one person in front of me. The chashier was super friendly. I paid with my german visa debit card.
Waited in front of windows 18 and 19 for about 3-5 minutes until my number was called. The lady checked all my information (in german).
Sat down again, waited for another 5-7 minutes until I got called to window 14 where I had my interview.
The officer was super nice, I told her about our relationship etc. She smiled, was friendly (which helped a lot since I was super nervous!).
The interview took a couple of minutes. In the end she told me that everything looks great and she's planning on issuing my visa that day!
2 Days later i received my visa javascript:emoticon(' ')!
I'm extremely happy how the consulate handeled our case! Questions (e-mail) were answered within a few hours or the latest the next day.
Everybody I got in contact with was very friendly and helpful!
We are thankful that we were able to go through DCF with the consulate general in Frankfurt!
(the process took about 7 weeks and a few days for us!)
