The process went smooth. The day of the intrrview we waited in line for 40 minutes. The after going through security, we entered a second building. We were guided to a waiting area to sit for 10 minutes. Then we were called to wait in another line for 20 minutes. The embassy representative asked for my fiance's birth certificate, background check, medical records, and passport. She asked if she had children, traveled to the US in the past, and maybe two other questions. This took about 10 minutes. Then representative gave us a number and us to take a seat around the cor er. We had to wait another 20 minutes before our number was called. This time the embassy employee asked her to take an oath. Next the representayive started looki g tbrough the originals docunents submitted with the I-129F. Then she the questions followed. She asked us: How did we meet? How often did we see each other? Did we meet each other's family members? Has she applied for a visa in the past? if so, what type of visa? What was the outcome? Does she have relatives that currently reside in the USA? If so, which relatives? Where does she plan to live in the US? What are the wedding plans? There may be one or two other questions. I don't remember them. The interview was in Spanish and English. She told us the visa was approved and said the visa will be issued within 10 business days. We received a document in E glish and Spanish with details on how to receive the passport with the visa.
The process on this website was accurate for the most part. However, the tracki g info about DHL did not apply. I called the phone to get details about the case and that was helpful. This service was suspended a few weeks later. I recommed having an outline of the documents in your initial packet. Make sure to have a cover letter with atable on contents, in-person meeting letter, intention to marry letter, and evidence as proof of relationship. When we submitted the DS-160, there was a list of docunents to bring to the interview. I brought the requiered documents. Our interviewer did not look them. We got in line around 6:35 a.m. and left the embassy around 9:15 a.m.
