Our interview appointment was for 7:45 am. We arrived at 7:30 and queued up yo wait for them to open the door, a few minutes later a security officer popped his head out and asked whose appointment is for 7:30. Those who had appts for 7:30 were allowed to go in first, then those with the 7:45 appts were called in and so on. As the petitioning spouse, I was not allowed to go in but I gave ll my documents to my husband too in case he was asked for them and waited for him at the second cup coffee shop across the street.

Documents he was asked for:
1) Police certificate
2) marriage certificate
3) divorce certificate
4) Affidavit of Support
5) Birth Certificate

Questions they asked:
- When did you meet your wife?
- Where did you meet your wife?
- How did you meet your wife?
- Longest stay in US?
- Did you ever get refused to enter or got removed from US?
- Any criminal charges?
- Do you have children?
- How old is your child?

But my husband's application was "refused" for administrative processing, it's not that it is truly refused but it remains in that status until they complete further processing. I believe this happened because even though my husband is a Canadian citizen, and has lived in Canada for 15 years, he was born and raised in Bangladesh and I believe that is the reason for further processing.

According to my husband, the immigration officer was super friendly and did say he would try that it goes through quicker and they still kept my husband's passport.
