Unfortunately slow. It took me almost 4 hours with the longest wait at the end, before the actual interview. However, this is due to the Ukraine current situation. All Ukranian refugees understandably went before other applicants.
The process was simple:
0. Leave husband at the entrance (will never know why). Pass a security control and leave phones and any electronic device.
1. Went to the "cashier" window to check I paid all the necessary fees online. Here I had to hand the officer one photograph, the confirmation of visa delivery and my passport.
2. Waited for the second call. Here, a very nice officer checked my original documents one by one and kept them. The only question I got from him was whether I knew what kind of work contract my husband has in the US. After that he explained to me the important details to have in mind once I got my visa and green card, and the next steps I would have to take.
3. Waited endlessly for the third call, the interview. What I think was a very confused officer, reviewed again all my documents, gave them back to me and directly asked me if I had photos with my husband. Neither my phone nor my husband could come with me inside the Consulate, so I do not know why he asked that in the first place! Other than that I got asked the usual stuff: how did we meet, why did we want to move to the US and where...
P.S. For all people concerned: Officers at the Consulate are aware of the current long waiting lists in the few clinics available for the medical exams. I have my doctor appointment 1 week after the interview and this was not a problem during the interview. You will only have to wait longer to get your passport back, hopefully with your visa approved :-)
