Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

Our interview was scheduled on May 6, 2022 at 8:15 AM.

We got to the Office at around 8:00 AM. We went in by around 8:05 AM. Security was great, very friendly, and was very thorough with their reminders and procedures. Jerry was an amazing boost of confidence.

We got into the waiting room at around 8:15 AM and was immediately called in. We were interviewed separately. I was the first one and lasted for about 45 minutes. It was just standard immigration questions and confirmation of the information I have provided in the application. I was also asked about how we met, and for some additional documents that I have with me. I provided some updated documents (latest billing statements, etc. but it was just 2 single page documents, the officer said he already has everything he needs and he didn't even look at photos because he said that he already looked at them---at our application I provided a very detailed timeline of our relationship with photos, from 2014 to present, so that was a lot lol). And then he said he just needs to figure out what code to give me and as soon as he does, he'll update my status on the system. He also mentioned to wait for the card to arrive via mail within 2-3 weeks. And then he escorted me out.

My husband was called in next, he went in for about 10 minutes. He was just asked standard immigration questions and then he was told that our case is approved.

Overall, the officer had been friendly, straightforward, and thorough with the process. It helps that the general atmosphere in the office is very welcoming.
