Review Topic: Medical Appointment

I had my medical back in February 2022 with Dr. Zatzman. His office is on the second floor. When I got to the office, I saw all the seats had been taken (limited seats for social distancing) and I was told to wait outside the door if I was there for a medical immigration appointment (they did not ask for my name, so I was kind of worried if I was supposed to check-in or not). Nevertheless, they called my name about 20 minutes later and asked for my appointment letter and passport. Then took pictures with their own camera (so you don't need to bring passport photos with you), paid the fee, and was given a paper with my picture on it with my case number and other details, and then was told to be seated and the doctor will call me. About 20 minutes later the doctor called me. He asked for my vaccination record, I had actually prefilled out the form they have on their website and wrote the dates for my vaccinations that are listed on that paper and got it signed by my family doctor. He really liked that I had this so he did not have to go through the other papers of my vaccination record! He checked my weight, height, and blood pressure. Then asked me yes/no questions. He was very nice, we talked a bit about where I am moving to and what my spouse does there, then spoke a bit about all these COVID restrictions lol
As others have stated, everything is electronic, so he was doing all the paperwork online. Then he gave me the requisition forms for the blood test and x-ray. He told me where to go for them (everything is in the same building, the labs are on the main floor). He advised me to first give my requisition form to the blood lab (dynacare) and if the waitime is more than 15 minutes (it will show up on their screens), then go to the x-ray lab and get that done as they are usually really quick! Just a tip for the chest x-ray is that they ask for you to put your hair up in a bun (not a low bun).

I was in the building for a little over 2 hours and overall was a pretty straightforward process, but still some nervousness because of the waiting lol

About a little over a week after my medical, I received an email from Dr. Zatzman's office that my medical was sent to the consulate.
