I arrived to the consulate 15 mins early and showed the security guard my email showing my appointment time. I was not on his list, so he went inside and a few mins later came back and let me in. I went through security (similar to the airport), then was instructed to turn my phone off and put it in a locker. I then took the elevator up to the 1st floor and was instructed to go to window 6. Once on the floor of the consulate, you'll find about 20-30 chairs for people to wait and 12 interview windows.
At the first window, they'll ask you a few questions and then give you a number. You'll sit and wait for your number to come up on the tv on the wall. Roughly 20 mins went by my number came up, I headed back up to the window and provided the documents as requested. They wanted originals and copies of birth certificates, a receipt for payment of visa fee, passport, i-134, petitioner tax records (I brought 3 years), petitioner employment letter, divorce decree for both parties. Once she had placed everything in order, I was asked to go sit down and wait for my number to be called again.
About 30 mins went by and I was called up to a separate window for my interview. She asked me to tell me about the petitioner, when did we meet, how did we meet, where does she live, what does she do for work, phone #, email. That was it, she recommended approval of the application and said it should take up to 2 weeks. The interview was probably 1 minute long.
Make sure you bring originals of everything that you can, as well as copies. I overheard a few people saying that their lawyer told them they didn't need to bring this or that and that they didn't have the originals. This obviously delayed their case as they now have to go home and send back the original. Bring more than what you need and you'll breeze through the process.
