I arrived at 7:00am for an 8:00am interview. Got called in at exactly 8:00am and waited for less than 10 minutes for the first check of documents. Then waited again for about 20 minutes before I was called to be interviewed. The consular officer was a lady and asked me to call out my name. She then wished me a happy Birthday and asked me to truth pledge.
Then the interview begin. She asked me the ff questions:
-Who is petitioning for you to come?
-Is he your biological father?
-Do you know when he came to the US?
-How did he come to the US?
-Is your mother in the US?
-Are your parents divorced?
-Is your father married to anyone ?
-Who does he live with?
-Does he have any other children apart from you?
-When did he become a US Citizen?
-when was the last time you saw him?
-Do you have any photos?- I had only two.
The consular officer then stepped out of the booth and brought back two sheets of paper. One was a refusal letter with instructions to submit some documents and the other was a dna request letter. She told me that she doesn’t have enough proof of our relationship so if I could provide more proof or do a dna test.
She then asked me to renew my passport and send it via dhl.
In all, I’m positive that after the dna test, I’ll be approved.
I was pleased with her treatment.
