Very pleasant interview experience. The pre-interview by the Filipina consul asked my wife why we had married in Costa Rica? Why not marry in the Philippines? The travel ban of course. How and when we met and how long we were together before we married and how many times I visited her in the Philippines? My wife said she didn't know how many times we met since I was coming there all the time for years so it was too many to count. She said we met in 2014 and the counsel followed up that asking the specific month in 2014. I'm not sure I could even remember that one exactly but I guess my wife did. Since she has ALLOT of stamps in her passports from allot of different countries the consul asked my wife about her travel. Specifically, if she was ever anyplace overseas for work, or for over 6 months. She said it's all just short tourist trips and we travel allot just for fun because we love to travel. The consul kind of singled out Panama and why we went there. Nothing special there it was just a hub traveling in the Americas. She asked my wife if she had any previous US Visa denials. My wife had two previous B1/B2 denials that she disclosed properly in the DS-260 and had been completely honest in her previous B1/B2 applications, so there was nothing about the previous B1/B2 denials that should have any impact on an immigrant visa. The counsel didn't follow up on those, just the acknowledgement. Basic questions about both our occupations.

The American Consul went back over the basics of when and how we met but just very simple questions. She said he was really a friendly upbeat likable guy and very easy and relaxed to talk to. He joked with her that I must be rich based on my job. He informed her he would recommend the visas for approval. My wife said all of the questions were very easy since we know each other well. Since I know Filipinos always want to know what window it is, it was window 59. My wife said there were only 2 American consuls doing Interviews. Her total time inside the Embassy based on cell-phone blackout time was about 2 hours.
