Consulate / USCIS Member Review #30094

Manila, Philippines Review on September 8, 2021:

Wonderfullymade

Rating:
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I had my medical appointment on September 3, 2021 at 8 am and within a day I was cleared. They only gave me a vaccination worksheet and a request for COVID RT-PCR test (with my picture and PDS number).

My interview appointment was exactly 7 am and I went to the US embassy Manila at 6 am. I brought all the documents including pictures, domicile evidence, conversation copy and my phone (in case there's an emergency). When I arrived, there's so many people lining up and they letting in the 6:45 and 7 am appointments.

ENTRANCE:
- Passport and Confirmation page of DS-260 (they to put a sticker on it.)

When I went inside, they scanned my things and found my phone in my briefcase, I thought I could leave it to them but unfortunately it's not allowed. So, I went outside and gave it to the woman who could hold it for me (needed to pay Php200 afterward, good thing I brought money :D). And I went back inside and scanned my things and they found my bottled water! hahaha it's not allowed either so I throw it.

PRE-SCREENING:
I was in the Window 36.
- Asked for Passport, DS-260, PSA Birth Certificate, PSA Marriage Certificate, CENOMAR, NBI and 2 pcs. 2x2 pictures.
- Asked for Affidavit of Support (from page 1 to 10 with the signature of the petitioner on page 8), latest IRS and latest W-2 (which was uploaded in the CEAC website).
- Asked for the CENOMAR of my husband (which I don't have, still it was ok).
(everything should be original not photocopy, they won't need that)
She found out that my Police Clearance (NBI) was expired and wanted to upload the latest one within an hour (which was in the CEAC website). She gave me an instruction in a piece of paper with my case number and invoice. I left my things and ran outside, took my phone and uploaded my new NBI and went back in.
- She asked me with a few questions:
* When does the last time you saw your husband?
* Are you done with your medical?
* What would be your address in the US?
* Have you been in a military?
* Are you already registered to CGI? (for delivery address)

She gave back all the documents and proceed to the next step.

SCANNING/FINGERPRINT: Window 50
- Just only showed the sticker located at the back of my passport. Taking off my mask and face shield to confirmed my identity. Scanned my both fingers.

INTERVIEW:
There's only 3 Consul who's doing an interview. Window 58, 61 and 64. I waited almost an hour before my turn. I got called at window 64 and gave my passport and original documents. Raise my right hand for oath.
Questions;
* Who is your petitioner?
* How did you met?
* When was the first time meeting in person?
* When did you got married?
* Does he have a previous marriage? How many times?
* Did you knew that he's divorce? (showed the original divorce decree)
* Is he your first husband?
* Is he a US citizen?
* Do you have children?
* How many times he visited?
* Did you ever travel abroad?
* What did he do for a living?
* What you intend to do for work once in the US?
The consul said, "Alright, regarding of all the documents that you showed, I'll recommend you for APPROVAL!". Then he asked me to get the piece of paper (located at my left side) and call the agent for the delivery address and expect to receive 2-4 weeks. He took my passport, gave back all my documents and thanked him. I was sooooo happy and came back to the hotel and bursting my tears:') Thank GOD!
