Our appointment was at 7.30. We arrived at 7.00 and there was already a long line. We got in 3rd because they called US citizens out of the line and I was accompanying my fiance.
We waited to be called to window 23, the lady told us how to sort the papers and to put stamps on the envelope. Then we waited again to be called to a man who went through the papers (he asked for the military papers of my fiance), let him sign the documents that needed to be signed, collected the rest of the papers, compared originals with copies, explained the procedure in US ...
Then we waited again and eventually were called to the CO. He asked whether the interview should be in German or English. My fiance opted for German. He needed to swear the correctness of the papers, took fingerprints ... Then he asked him when we met, where we met, what my job is and when we are going to be married. I was standing right next to my fiance and was chatting with the CO a bit. He then said he should have the visas in 7 - 10 days, because the medical was already done before hand. We got the passport of my fiance back, because we will go for a trip to US in July. After being back, we will submit the passport to the embassy and then the visas will be issued. They kept the passports of the kids, we don't need them.
Everything went smooth, we were done shortly before 10.00.
