Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Had an appointment at 9:30am. First, before getting in, I had to go to the designed window outside the embassy to have my passport checked and after that I could get in. I was directed to go to the window 13 to get a ticket the number, then i got all my documents checked by a very nice lady (they asked for my birth certificate, police records from Poland and marriage certificate). Then i had to wait for about 1,5hrs (there were already people waiting in the waiting room) until i got called in. The officer asked if all the information on my ds260 are true and wanted me to take the oath - i told him that i have corrected my last name (DS form was still with my maiden name) and at the end i didn't take the oath. He asked me how I met my husband, what's my current occupation, we had a little chitchat about UVA and he said "your visa has been approved, we will send it and your passport to you within 2 business days). And that was it. The interview lasted 2 minutes. It was super cold inside so it's better to wear something warm 😉 i left the embassy at around 11:30am. There were some people who came before me and still weren't interviewed but i guess their cases were more complicated than mine.
