Our experience,
Me and my Fiance were present for her K1 Visa Interview. The Embassy is located in a beautiful area in the heart of Budapest and we arrived 2 hours early which was a mistake because there was really not a lot of people waiting for their interview. Outside the front of the embassy is gated off with guards who tell you if you can enter or not and since we had two hours to blow we just walked around town and even got a small bite to eat. So I would recommend that you get there early but no TOO early or else you just drive yourself crazy waiting around.
Next, one of the guards did let us in early so be sure to ask them which was very helpful for us because as we were waiting for our interview a lot of Hungarian students trying to get student visas came and they filled the entire waiting room.
When we first walked in our number was quickly called up and we handed over the documents. Since I, her Fiance was present they asked for no documents to prove the relationship. The most important documents where the Packet 3 papers and my I-134.
After waiting for about 45 minutes our number was called up and the Consulate kindly asked me to go into the other room after he asked me if I was the Fiance and heard my American voice. She sat with the Consulate for about 5 minutes and was asked simple questions like, Has anyone from your family been to America? Have you ever been to America?
After simple questioning the Consulate said you are approved and was willing to print off the Visa for us same day. So we waited another hour for it to get printed off and they handed it over and we were off joyfully exiting the Embassy.
Recommendations:
1. Attend if possible, it does help and shows its not just a hoax.
2. Provide very well filled out documents without any mistakes.
3. Answer all questions honestly.
4. Relax, its really not that bad.
