Interview was 10:45am , medical was done same day in the morning . The medical was a smooth process took about 90 minutes , the employees at andrews were very pleasant and friendly. I lost my vaccination card so I had to get 4 vaccines that cost in total about 15k
Interview
There were about 4 persons in the line outside but they were J1 applicants I was the only k1 . After the young lady check that I had the appropriate documents I was sent to the security that check temperature, then I was sent inside to the security screening . After that I proceeded to the courtyard which was empty . I went straight to the desk where another lady checked my documents then placed a number on it . She took me inside to the immigrant section , there was only one lady there and she started her interview as soon as I got inside . I was called up to the first window she verified my address name etc .. she also collected the documents I brought . She was so nice as well and told me I could sit and wait for the interviewer I was the only person seated in that section for immigrant cases .
Waited for about 10 mins I saw the interviewer going through my documents and checking stuff on the computer . She then called me up and I took the oath .
Questions in no particular order that I can remember
1. Where does my fiancé live
2. How long we’ve been together ( she answered herself because she read through the packet , I just confirmed when she said it )
3. She asked where does my fiancé family reside
4. She ask where I plan to get married
5. Ask if we had kids
6 if we’ve ever been married
7. Ask if we plan on having family at the wedding
8. Ask when was the last time we saw each other
The questions felt more like a conversation rather than an interview. She was very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She said the medical would take about 2 weeks then 2-3 weeks for the embassy to process it .
1 week later I saw issued 😊 took about a week to get back my passport . But the whole process was pleasant.
