My case is super simple, so the interview experience may change if your case is more complicated (previous marriages, kids from previous marriages, kids applying with you, overstays, etc); however, my interview was quick and I was in and out in 15 minutes.

When you come in, only you (And your lawyer or interpreter) may come in, nobody else is allowed. When I arrived, the agent was expecting me, maybe because my interview was at 1PM so the first right after lunch. The agent looked at my interview letter, went though security with me and then straight to his office.

Asked for my Driver's License and Green Card, then asked for a few general questions (Crime history, travel history, etc).

Then asked me the civics test questions verbally: West coast ocean, east coast ocean, what does the judicial branch do?, whom do we pledge alliance to? (I forgot the other 2); then proceeded with reading questions by displaying a simple sentence on a tablet and asking me to read it "Who lives in the white house?", followed by asking me to write on the tablet "The president lives in the white house".

Continued filling out some forms on his computer and then approved me. Gave me the form where you can write if you want to change your name and all other information they ask for the naturalization certificate and sent me on my way.

During the interview I asked for possible oath ceremony dates and the agent was nice enough to tell me, although of course I had to wait for my oath ceremony letter on the mail. Use your social skills to slide this question during your interview.
