Jan 5, 2021 - tried another expedite request to NVC cc USTraveldocs and UStraveldocs sent an automated response
They asked for information so they can make a follow up then got a response from them to send an email to NVC.(we became hopeless again thought they're the angel in disguise) All these happened within 2 business days with UStravel docs.
We've been sending expedite request between NVC and Manila Embassy since August, 2020 and after a week they sent a "cannot do anything until embassy/NVC" is open/send this and that.
Jan. 13 - received a response from NVC that they are going to review our case but we made another follow up email before this response from them since we have not received a response from them.
Jan. 20 - Received an email from NVC that expedite has been approved and will send our case to embassy but coule take up to several weeks for them to receive it.
Feb 3 - sent an email to Manila Embassy if they have received my case already cc again UStravel docs.
Even called the manila embassy hotline and got pissed off with the Rep bec after she asked for my basic information to verify my account, she gave me this general spiel right away that I also have heard alot of times in their automated, she did not even ask me my situation, she just said "okay Mam I pulled up your account...blah blah" so I told her that I requested for expedited and was approved just asking when can they schedule an interview for me. She insisted that K1 is blah blah and should call back after March 31. I asked her if I am talking to the right dept. Coz I felt that she was not the right person to talk to regarding my case and she was even rude. So I hung-up then sent an email to Manila embassy.
Feb 11 - received an email from embassy about my expedited schedule interview.
Feb 22 - received an email from Manila embassy again to congratulate me of my upcoming interview reminded me of the date and time then to follow the instructions in their website regarding the requirements to bring on interview date.
March 4 - interview
7:50AM was my time but I was early like more than an hour there coz I could not anticipate the distance and the traffic. Since I have my daughter with me I was not expecting that they will let us in - those with children even though it isn't our turn yet.
They got my medical given to me by St Lukes, original copies of birth cert, cenomar & NBI (expiring July, 2021), affidavit of support ( I asked my fiance to print the 5 and sign it then send it to my email, I printed the rest and the signed paper here), they got the 1044 and W2 of 2019, they did not check or get the 2017 & 2018. They check the divorce decree and gave it back to me. Got my receipt for the K1 visa fee and also my delivery address that I printed. Checked my old passport too.
Finger scanning to the window I wad told after he checked and got my docs
Then interview - she got my passport, gave me two leaflets and asked me to raise my right hand for oath. She asked me first to remove my mask and face shield. (Mask is fine to wear by the way, I was used to wearing faceshield for my medical)
These questions are not in order as I can't recall which one was the first, how we met, job of my fiance, his age, have I been to outside Phils? Where?, Is she his daughter (refering to my child) what is the name of my fiancee? Is he divorce? How many times? The reason of divorce. (Might have forgotten some questions)
My interview was just really quick for me about maybe more or less than 5 minutes.
Questions were thrown fast they only long answer for me was the reason of divorces. How we met answer was cut and was asked when was our first time meeting in person.
My nervous was gone actually since we arrive there as I was overwhelmed or focused on my cranky daughter, chasing her as well, she even ran during my interview at the beginning and I ask the consul if I can get her first and she said yes go get her with smiling face and tune. I was carrying my daughter the entire interview while she is also talking random things at the same time I am answering the questions.
The consul said everything looks great and I am approved, she asked me to get the piece of paper to the left to track my case and expect to receive it in 2 to 4 weeks. I asked if there is an expedite, she said she'll try to work on it this afternoon and will see what she can do. I thanked her and told her that I am happy. I was getting ready to go out with my daughter but she called me again, I got nervous this time like oppss am I gonna be disapproved bec she was talking to someone. But she just forgot to ask my biometric with my 4 fingers in my right after I took an oath again.
She did not scan or ask for my docs I have prepared for our proof of relationship.
Well better over prepared than not.
There were only 1 line of windows who are doing the interviews maybe about 6 or 5 windows only. Very quiet there but still organized. One guard is rude there too but passed through it.
