Salaam-

My husband had his visa interview on Monday, May 5th, 2008. The month leading to this interview I was a total mess. We practiced questions daily, about 75, for him to only be asked three questions!!! Better to be safe then sorry.

He arrived at 7:30 for an 8:00 am interview. At 1:00 he was called to the window, with his evidence in hand: two photo albums, a binder with over 500 emails, a binder with all his documentation, my moroccan documentation ( card of identity etc..)

The woman who interviewed him commented that based on the prevvious information and his evidence it was clear that we were a married couple, but it was required to proceed with the formalities. She also added that he needed to show all these other moroccan men how to come prepared

They asked my name, my dob, and then they asked when and how we met. This last question was a point of contention for us, because while praticing he never wanted to be detail oriented ( imagine that from a man ) After the questions, they just talked about me as he continued to showw more evidence of our 5 year relationship, and 1 and a half years of marriage.

At the end she told him that, yes of course he had his visa, but they needed him to translate his birth certificate into English... Hey I thought this was Morocco?????? he did that and dropped them off. The kept his passport and told him that they would call him by the end of the week , Friday at the lattest................................... I wanted to celebrate , but still a little cautious...

They did indeed call Friday and told him that he needed to come back for fingerprinting..... but you did that i thought.. He was cool, seemed really impressed with how professional they were and aside from the wait how smoothly things were going.

He traveled back to Casa Monday morning for fingerprinting and they told him they would call him at 3pm to pick up his visa. The call came at 3 pm, but they said they just were swamped but he should come back at 3pm the next day, Tuesday, May 13th at 3pm and he would have his visa in hand. So yes, on the 13th of May, eight days after the visa, our official wait is over. The passport and visa are in his hand.

-All praised due to G-d
