Interview Date: October 23,, 2020 (He was approved!)

Visa Status after Interview: October 26-27, 2020- Issued
October 28, 2020 - Visa ready for pick up ( You will get an email once it is ready) - You need a ID, Driver's Licenses or birth certificate in order to pick up.
Traveled: October 31, 2020 (If traveling to US with visa, please expect to do another interview through customs)

The interview was for 7:30am, we arrived exactly at this time, checked in, and were out around 10:15am. (They did experience difficulties twice with systems which allowed them to conduct the interviews, ended up waiting an hour and a half, then maybe about another hour. There were about 2 applicants ahead of us, which was approved but missing documents in order to get the visa sent off that day. One officer called my husband to the counter to ask for marriage/birth certificate, and his passport. He asked me how long have I been in the country (over two weeks due to the quarantine). We sat back down and where called by another officer who asked me who I was, how long have I been in the country, asked my husband for his fingerprints, made him swear in, and conducted the interview. I really can only think of him asking 6 questions.

After typing for a few seconds, he got up to go and get the domestic violence sheet (he didn’t inform us of this, I had a feeling), passed it to my husband and said we can expect the visa be ready for pickup in 1-2 weeks.

October 31, 2020 traveled to America, upon arrival going through customs, my husband was required to complete another interview with those officers. (less than 5 mins)

(COMMENTS)
The embassy did practice social distancing. Please be aware that the interview would be conducted at ‘open’ windows by the co’s, they also use intercoms too, so privacy will not be on your side for those few minutes.

Be completely honest, its nothing to be nervous about whatsoever. After all, the CO’s are human beings just like the rest of us.
I been with my husband for 3 years and married for over 2. I only visited him twice prior to the interview.
By the Grace of God, my husband is finally in the same place as me, and we can finally start our plans together.
